Le Bousquet is an idyllic rural retreat located in the Dordogne valley, France.  Sympathetically restored but retaining its original charm, Le Bousquet has a beautiful salt water heated pool, large elevated deck, marvellous views and privacy.  All three spacious bedrooms have en-suite facilities and all linen and towels, including pool towels, are provided.  There is a cinema room with a large  flat screen tv in addition to a comfortable lounge, and a dining room.  Well-equipped main and summer kitchens and laundry facilities ensure a comfortable stay. All TV’s have british and french television and there is high-speed Wi-Fi internet throughout the property.  

Its location allows easy access to explore a wide variety of the attractions that the Dordogne valley has to offer.  From the allure of some of Frances most beautiful villages to the serenity of the surrounding countryside. The farmhouse has all the modern conveniences to offer a comfortable and relaxing stay whilst still retaining the charm of a traditional building in the heart of the countryside.

Le Bousquet is located midway between the two historic market towns of Beaulieu sur Dordogne and Meyssac.  Both towns offer lots of choices for shopping as well as having market days where the best of local produce is for sale.  Brive la Gaillarde is located 25kms away and has an airport with services to London and Paris. The train service to Brive is direct from Paris Austerlitz with car hire available at the station.

The cottage sits in a 3/4 acre of private and enclosed grounds with a south facing terrace, outdoor seating, dining table and gas BBQ - perfect for al fresco dining.  There is parking for up to 3 cars on the drive and a sheltered children's play area with swings.  In the summer months the beautiful 10x4 metre saltwater pool is available - great for relaxing on a lazy day and wonderfully soothing after a long day sightseeing! 

Located in the midst of the peaceful Dordogne countryside & surrounded by fields and farmland with no near neighbours to disturb you yet within fifteen minutes of the small town of Meyssac which provides all necessary facilities.  We are dog friendly so even your four-legged family members can enjoy a holiday and with plenty of quiet country lanes, pretty woodlands and the Dordogne river in the area you will find great opportunities for both walking and cycling locally.

Kayaking on the Dordogne river, cycling, visits to the pre-historic caves of Pech Merle or Lascaux, medieval towns of Collonges la Rouge, Turenne and Curemonte, Chateau of Castelnau are just a few of the activities to discover in this beautiful region.
